Telling Students That's It's OK To Harass Teachers.
Pages 8 and 70 claims,
"V W X Y and Z We'll learn the truth about history."
Translate it to, "V W X Y and Z We'll learn to deny history!"
On pages 9 and 71, there is a scene in the classroom where a student raises his hands and blurted out "Were you there?" to a teacher, who just wrote down the time period of the late Oligocene Epoch which is about 25 million years ago. This is an example of what Ham wants kids to do in a public school classroom. He' telling the children to be unruly, disruptive, and insolent, questioning, challenging, and resisting authority just by blaring out "Where you there?" out of ignorance of the evidence pointing to what the teacher wrote on the board.
Why is Ham doing this? It's because in Ham's eyes, when teachers make factual statements like, "The earth is billions of years old." they are questioning and challenging "God's [sic] Authority," which is what Ham and other YECs do exactly themselves when they make such remarks as 'Were you there?' and other offensive statements to the point of blaspheming the Lord, His integrity, and His Word they claim to uphold.
This idea of insolence is taken from Job 38:4 CEV where God asked Job, "How did I lay the foundation for the earth? Were you there?" or "Were you there when I laid the foundations of the earth?" The actual full KJV verse when put in text says, "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding." There is a much simpler translation of the verse and it's in the NIV Bible and it goes like this: "When where you when I laid the Earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand." This is God responding to Job's questioning of God's sovereignty which he was not suppose to do.
When creationists like Ham advocates such insolence, it tells you they only demand eyewitnesses, nothing else. They don't care about the evidence because they knew the evidence destroys their beliefs in the earth being young and dinosaurs living with humans. They only care about eyewitness accounts. Nothing else. It doesn't matter if the accounts are faked, never occurred, and conflict one another.
Ham is telling the kids to deny the scientific evidence for the old earth, not acknowledge them. According to Ham, if the answer to the question is "no" then the kids should say "Then how do you know that it is true since no one was there to see it happen?" This is the exact version of Bart Simpson saying flat out "I didn't do it! Nobody saw me! You can't prove anything!" when he's being rightfully blamed for doing something wrong like breaking the head off of the statue of Springfield's founder, Jebediah Springfield for instance. Ham is telling kids to be like Bart!
In other words, Ham is telling the children to deny the incident and ignore all evidences saying that you did it, especially using M & Ms® candies as part of their idiot exercise.
Then he tells the parents to use indoctrination on the children again and assume a priori again that only God was there and knows everything about what and when it happened especially to the dinosaurs and the only way for sure of this is to go look it up in the Bible which has no answers whatsoever to everything dinosaurs, fossils, and such. Without doubt, the act of blaring out "Where you there?" is the blatant showing of no shame in absolute blaspheming of both God and His Word's integrity and honesty.
Like I said, look it up and you will never find anything that has to do with dinosaurs (except birds.), fossils, sedimentary rocks, atoms, and chemistry. Then, Ham tells parents to tell the kids that when teachers or anyone talks about the concept of millions of years, they are to get insolent and say "Were you there?" and explain that no one knows everything or has always been there, so how can they really know what happened in the past? The answer is "evidence." Rock solid, hard core evidence gathered and accumulated through forensic science, fossil findings, observations, clue searching, field searching, detective work, and all other forms of gatherings over the years. And yet, Ham wants kids to deny the incident and ignore all evidences saying that such scenarios featuring dinosaurs living long before humans did took place. Is this the way to educate children on the science of prehistory? No, definitely not.
Big Bang Denial
Pages 10 and 72 shows the A rhyme that tells the readers that there was no big bang, which is a blatant lie. Down below on page 72 shows a stupid lesson that shows kids how to deny the big bang that have occurred between 20 and 15 billion years ago and tells the kids to believe that during the last days in 2 Peter 3, the whole world will be judged by fire and changed back into a perfect world. This verse which foretells the second coming of Christ, is irrelevant to what did happened in the past through scientific evidence. According to Ham, Parents are to tell their kids that the Bible explicitly teaches that the earth hung in space; it does not rest on pillars; nor is it flat. Therefore children are to ignore the verses in the Bible that refers to the earth resting on pillars (Job 9:6, Psalm 75:3), hung in space, etc. Verses that flat earthers take all too literally, never mind them being nothing more than just metaphors. This is without doubt a blatant example of creationists and other Christian cult groups taking only certain parts of the bible to heart while throwing away everything else in the Bible that contradicts them. Ham only takes Genesis 1-11 literally and never cares about anything else, not even the Bible verses that contradicts his narrow-minded beliefs such as in Isaiah 54:7 where we find a Loving God responsible for creating darkness and evil.
Ham wants parents to tell the kids that People used to think that the earth is flat and if they had read the Bible, they would have had a scientifically correct understanding of the earth. One question: How on earth are they supposed to know that when in nearly all cases, most, if not all people just couldn't read and\or write worth a hoot and do not have all the resources we have today? How are they supposed to know these things when all of these things that we know today were totally UNKNOWN back then at that time? How does the earth hung in space like a Christmas tree decoration while in fact it moves and rotates around the sun? Such idiocy! Although most people in ancient times believe the earth was round, they used to believed that the earth is a round disk with a dome on top. Now it is known that the earth is a sphere like a ball.
According to this next idiot exercise, the children are to write straw man claims about the Big bang and also write Ham's distortions of the beginning in Genesis 1:1 as well. Parents are to emphasize to the kids that the order of events according to the Bible is totally different from the theory of evolution. The problem is that evolution speaks ZITCH about beginnings! It just simply says that all life change with modification occurring in populations over a period of time. Just like what it says here in the Understanding Evolution page.
And here's the article that really tells the truth behind the big bang.
Big Bang The Bible Taught It First
Establishment of Time
The stupid lesson on page 74 is a reminiscent of the teachings of Seventh Day Adventism, which is what young earthism is really a form of brought on by Ellen G. White, a self-proclaimed prophetess who founded the SDA cult. On pages 12 and 74, there is a B is for Bible rhyme that tells us that God made clean air and "divided the waters above and below." Parents are to tell the kids that God made the world in 6-24 hr. ordinary days just as the fourth commandment found in Exodus 20:11 have said, never mind Psalms 90:4 that says
"For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night."
Meaning that God's view of day and our views of day is really 2 different things. The claim about a normal 24 hour day of creation on the bases of the 4th commandment greatly ignores the other Sabbaths the Israelites are to observe that has nothing to do with the 24 hr day (i.e. work in the fields for 6 years and then rest from farming on the 7th year.). Besides, how would the ancient Israelites suppose to know about time the way we do now? They don't have clocks back then and the only way to tell what time of day it is for them is to follow the positioning of the sun and the moon in the sky.
The word "day" also means "any period of time" whether long or short, not just a 24 hour period. The Days of Creation can also necessary refer to a period of time as well as a 24 hr period. Also "evening and morning" could necessary refer to the end and beginning of that period, not just dusk and dawn. How long the length of such periods is not revealed even though Bible literalists, including creationists, wanted such periods to mean a 24 hour day simply because that's how the Jewish people refer to the word Day as being a normal 24 hour period. But unlike creationists, the Jews' definition of "day" refers a period that begins at dusk instead of dawn ("Evening and Morning." Get it?).
Ham will have the parents impose indoctrination again and repeat the same Exodus verse when they will be "studying" day 4 of the alleged YE creation week. Then parents are to give out to the kids this faulty circular reasoning that says, "If He made the world in a million years for each day, then we will have a million year rest and our week will be 7 million years long." Never mind the verses that clearly says that God's view of day is much different than our views of day as mentioned above.
What Ham claims is very similar to this faulty claim Henry Morris have made saying that if God made the universe billions of years ago, his power will weaken over time— another act of blasphemy. Morris is ignorant of God's power being infinite and can never weaken no matter what. Greg Nayman has an article that counters this blasphemous claim you can see right here.
There is a myth about the vapor canopy being shown here and parents are to tell the kids about the vapor canopy myth and how it made the earth like a greenhouse and it is probably the secret on how the dinosaurs and humans lived a mighty long time. This myth is highly flawed because if that is the case, then the canopy will actually make the whole earth be like the fiery furnace in the story of The 3 Men in the Fiery Furnace as told in Daniel 3, not a greenhouse. No one will survive in that kind of a world even if they tried to live in it for hundreds of years. As a matter of fact, it is totally ironic that although this myth is featured in this book, this vapor canopy myth is one of the arguments that are featured in the list of arguments AiG thinks creationists should not use. Is it the first sign of them cleaning up their act, or they are just being too hypocritical and too hungry for power and are battling the other YEC organizations for supremacy? Only time will tell.

Like Placing One's Faith In The Great Pumpkin
In this idiot exercise, children were to deal with this question: Since the sun and the moon were created on the 4th day, then where did the light come from? Ham asserts that, perhaps the light came from God like it says in Revelation 21:23. This does not honestly explain where did the entire light source actually come from in the physical world. More on this later. Ham says for parents to tell their kids that there will always be many questions that will never be answered, which is why we must have faith - their version of faith that's all blind, false, and empty. No honest answers or real evidence, just blind, empty faith that's a lot like Linus has when he puts his faith into the Great Pumpkin. The Great Pumpkin is not real, yet Linus believes in the Great Pumpkin to be real. Every year, on Halloween, he waits for him to show up in the pumpkin patch to fly about and gives toys to all the good children of the world, which he never does eventually (Thus, leads Sally to denounce her beliefs in the Great Pumpkin after she was briefly converted awhile ago for her "Sweet Baboo's" sake and miss out on her "Tricks or Treats" and a Halloween party the rest of the Peanuts gang were going to.). In spite all that, Linus never gives up believing him and every year, he will be at the Pumpkin Patch once again in hopes that one day he will show up.
Creationists wanted their followers to be like Linus and have faith in their flawed teaching despite hard core evidence against it. Ham says,
"However the Christian Faith is not without evidence. The Institute of Creation Research have provided much evidence that supports the Bible."
Well, every time people like me look and see the evidence ICR, AIG and others claim to have, we find that they have actually none. They have no evidence at all to support their faulty bible. They only imagine all things up based on their presupposition of the Bible they distort for personal gain.
Ham's Denial of Plant and Animal Species
The next stupid lesson is on pages 14 and 76. The C rhyme there tells about the first dry land, which "God raised up with his powerful hand. Then He commanded the plants to grow, which made third day a beautiful show." Ham wants parents to tell kids that some scholars have suggested that there was one large continent existed before the flood. But he doesn't want parents to tell the kids that there were in fact several supercontinents that existed at one time each. Among them is Rodinia, a super continent that existed between 1100 and 750 million years ago. Then about 800 million years ago, Rodinia split up into lands that scattered about before joining together to form the second super continent Pangaea that eventually broke up to form the 7 continents as we know of today. This is done through plate tectonics, a force beneath the earth that causes the continents to move very, very slowly, about an inch per year.
According to Ham, Parents are to tell the children that God made the plants to reproduce after "his own kind." and that all plants and animals were not made from other animals but have reproduced from their own kind. Meaning that God made the plants and animals to be very unique and that they are not made from other plants and animals and that everything stayed the same. Then Ham turns around and contradict this by telling the kids that all animals are direct descendants of the original "created kinds" which descended into the huge different varieties of animals we see today. Contradictory to what Ham claims about plants and animals made to be very unique and not change, the philosophy of variation (e.g. varieties of bears.) within kinds, as taught by Ham, is in fact plants and animals changing into another plant and animal! Haven't he ever heard of clades?
Ham is telling parents to lie to their children about this being the result of evolution, saying this is not evolution when it is clearly evolution— animals forming and developing into different animal clades just as what the scientific evidence is telling us all along.
Ham makes it look as if plants and animals are one big moving cloning machines producing one carbon copy after another, while being totally ignorant of the fossil record that tells us that life did evolve from other forms of life through a common ancestor. To learn about how creationists don't know what species and kind is really all about as well as how plate tectonics work, check out these articles down below.

Ham's Denial of Plate Techtonics
In the next idiot exercise, parents are to have children deny the existence of plate tectonics and to draw a picture of the fantasy world of what was it like before the mythical global flood changed everything. Children are to be lied to, saying that there were no deserts existing at that time and the continent must have split up during the flood, never mind the evidence against this, and are to mark were the Garden of Eden must have been and where Noah may have lived and build the ark at, which is all located in the Middle East and nowhere else. The world according to Ham was once a beautiful place with lots of green plants, yet in reality, we have lots of evidence that tells us that this is not the case. Scientists have over the years uncover a lot of evidence of semi-desert conditions occurring in the deposits dating to the Triassic Period for instance. Here's a reference to this.
http://www.english-nature.org.uk/special/geological/sites/area_ID30.asp
Note: scroll down to Permian and Triassic article to read all about it.
Also, children are to be told that the original world was destroyed in the flood, which there is no evidence for and because of the flood, no one knows were the Garden of Eden was located. That's what Ham thinks! This page from the Institute for Biblical and Scientific Studies will really tell you where the Garden of Eden could possibly be located at within the countries of the Middle East.
http://www.bibleandscience.com/archaeology/eden.htm
No one knows for certain where the Garden of Eden was located. One idea put on by creationists is that the garden was destroyed in the Flood, which is their way of explain why the garden is not found today. However there are other suggestions made to explain where the Garden is located such as what is shown in the link above.
Where Are The Lights?
The next stupid lesson involves the fourth day of creation. On pages 78 and 16 there is the D rhyme that tells of the sun and the moon being created on the 4th day and dinosaurs have yet to be created. If God made the sun, moon and stars on the fourth day however, then where did the light come from in the physical realm before then? What Ham thinks here does not explain where did the light in the physical realm came from before God made the moon, stars, and the sun on the fourth day. These articles below, however, will help explain.
http://www.godandscience.org/youngearth/genesis1.html
Note: Scroll down to "let there be light" and then scroll down to "Day 4."
http://www.bibleandscience.com/bible/books/genesis/genesis1_sunmoonstars.htm
In the idiot exercise, students, according to Ham, are to write down how we determine the measurements for the following: Day, Month, Year, and Seven-day week. Day, month, and year actually came from astronomical observations, not the Bible. What Ham teaches is another example of blaspheming God's intellect similar to what I addressed awhile back when refuting the claims found on page 74.
