Here's a kiddie crap aimed to target children with stupid lies and outright falsehood using dinosaurs as a pawn to poison their minds with such ignorance. Behold. Dinosaur Activity Book (Master Books, 2007) by Earl and Bonita Snellenburger, the same people who illustrated another activity book for children years ago called God Created the Dinosaurs of the World.
This book lures children to idiocy. It contains dinosaur pages to color and activities one would normally see in a normal activity book (ie. crossword puzzles, unscramble words, mazes, etc.); all containing stupid lies. The dinosaurs are drawn horribly wrong just like any el-cheapo dino coloring book one finds at a dollar store. Coming from 2 creationists who illustrated anatomically incorrect dinosaurs for worthless books such as God Created Dinosaurs of the World. The Dinosaurs and Eden, and Dinosaurs by Design, this book, like all creationist literature, is not worth getting if you want to teach children about dinosaurs the realistic way.
Here's a very limited walkthrough based on what is seen on the Google books preview page which doesn't show all the pages in the book, but only many pages I'll go through to debunk all the idiot claims found in the book.
Page 3 shows Germanodactylus and Cryptoclidus (both Late Jurassic reptiles) and the notion that these 2 animals were created by God. This discredits nothing. Saying that everything were created by God doesn't stop Him from allowing all life (including humans) to evolve— change over time as confirmed by physical evidence.
Page 4 carries a picture of Hylonomus and an explanation of what makes a dinosaur a dinosaur including the ability to move in an upright posture similar to the upright posture of mammals and birds.
Page 5: Since when did evolutionists imagine Inostrancevia as an ancestor of mammals? Look who's doing the imagination, you two?! Just like the Snellenburgers, creationists constantly accuse evolutionists of imagining things, failing to notice that creationists, without doubt, do the exact same thing themselves. Creationists, like the Snellenburgers, don't engage in truth. They only engage in ignorance and nothing else. Especially of the fossil evidence that tells us that Inostrancevia is in fact a Late Permian gorgonopsid with a fully erect stance. This Permian animal is more closely related to true mammals and is not at all a true reptile.
Page 6: Here Sir Richard Owen is claimed to believe the Bible is God's Word. "and that everything in it is absolutely [allegedly] true." But he was also "a damned liar. He lied for God and for malice," just like Ham, Davis, the Snellenburgers, Morris, Hovind, and others does. Yep. Believe it or not, although he was world famous for inventing the word "Dinosauria" in 1842 (not 41) to described 3 certain reptilian animals (Iguanodon, Hylaeosaurus, and Megalosaurus) like no other, only a few people knew that Richard Owen was a hateful bully who likes to give anyone he dislikes, even Charles Darwin, a bad name and steals credit from any scientist (especially Gideon Mantell), who discovered and described fossils before him, for himself. His disagreements with Darwin gave creationists the impression that he was a creationist like they are. The truth is he was an evolutionist who thought life evolved differently than what Darwin have proposed in his Origins of Species book.
The next paragraph contains the Flood Folly which claims that all fossils were formed out of animals and plants that were quickly buried in mud and sand as a result of Noah's Flood. Yet, they contradict this by saying that there are fossils found made up of animals and humans that perished during the alleged "Post-Flood" era when they find no trace of evidence for the violent Flood being responsible for forming great multitudes of fossils discovered all over the earth. So much so that they find themselves having huge trouble in trying to find out which fossil is "Pre-Flood" and which fossil is "Post-Flood" and explaining the so-called "Post-Flood" fossils that never experience rapid burial to begin with. Humph! So much for the fossil record being "a worldwide graveyard the earth became as a result of the Great Flood."
Page 7: The first of the many activities kids are encourage to do. They are to cut out pieces of a fossil skeleton and paste it on Page 9. This teach kids nothing. What it does is engross children into ignorance of the real fossil reconstructions based on actual studies of the dinosaur's skeletal structure. The skeleton in question is nothing more than a gross, inaccurate skeleton of Hadrosaurus— also drawn in Dinosaurs by Design (Pg. 13)— based on the first mounted dinosaur skeleton built by man made in 1878.
The flood folly continues at the bottom of Page 7 by claiming that the Flood ended by God causing the waters to rapidly retreat to the "new, enlarged ocean basins" by forming the mountains and valleys as told in Psalms 104:5-9 taken out of context, never mind the verses being part of the Creation passage and never mind the earth being completely dry by the time the Flood ended (Genesis 8:13-14). If the Flood was a world wide event, the flood would've render the entire globe into a dry, desert wasteland.
Pages 8-9 explains in a kindergarten way how scientists unearthed fossils and put then together to form a dinosaur skeleton. You know, it's completely ironic when the Snellenburgers claims,
"Exact diagrams are made of the location of the fossils to help museum technicians, called preparators, reconstruct the dinosaurs as accurately as possible."
and yet the Snellenburgers can't get their dinosaur art right! They always they have to have the dinosaurs drawn completely wrong and outdated by decades with naked skin, kangaroo stance, and a tail-dragging posture. Just look at the skeletal reconstruction on page 11.
You can't say this is an accurate skeleton when it's clearly shown to be entirely wrong. The skeleton is pose in a kangaroo stance, with its tail on the ground, and its ribs and hips are drawn completely wrong. Look at an actual Tyrannosaur skeleton in a museum, especially "Sue" at the Field Museum of Natural History, and compare it with Snellenburgers' wrongful drawing of the dinosaur and you'll find who's dinosaur conceptions really are imaginative and highly questionable.
Pages 10 and 11 is the best example of the creationists' direct violation of Matthew Chapter 7 verses 1-5 where Jesus says,
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
In all creationist statements and literature and media, hypocrisy is exposed wide open. They're everywhere in all creationist forms. Example: This quote from the hate monger Ken Ham himself,
"For a person to make the claim that humans and dinosaurs did not coexist, they would have to be able to see all history at exactly the same time, which would make that person omniscient and omnipresent, qualities of God. So, when someone says emphatically that humans and dinosaurs did not exist together in the past, that person is claiming to be a god, while calling God Himself a liar, or, at best, deceptive."
Only a mentally ill, hypocritical person engaging in paranoia like Ham can make such sick, delusional claims like this, turn around and do the exact same thing themselves by emphatically claiming that dinosaurs lived with humans while at the same time have himself elevated to become omniscient, omnipresent, and have qualities of God, thus making himself into a god while at the same time calling God Himself a liar, deceptive at best, and above all a total ignorant who ignores every scientific, archaeological, biblical (yes, biblical!), and historical evidence that debunks all his "thousands of years," dinosaurs in the ark and in the bible (other than birds), and evolution = evil lies.
All young earth creationist beliefs are entirely wrong. When confronted by those who expose the truth behind their beliefs, they slanderously lash back in every way out of malice and haughtiness, including making and publishing all their rants and lies in every form of media, slamming and dehumanizing the scientific community in every way. The creationists incites fear, sorrow, hate, anger and other negative feelings, and clearly proselytize and indoctrinate children into believing all their lies and not trust the scientific community because they're claimed to do exactly the same things creationists are guilty of doing themselves— imagining things and make imaginative mistakes. They are telling children to believe that scientists have a habit of always construct fossils wrong, never mind science being right in most cases in constructing fossils as accurately as possible, never mind them being self-correcting, never mind the scientists being honest in acknowledging their mistakes and quick to correct them when mistakes are known, and never mind them engaging in careful, honest studies of dinosaur anatomy and bone structure which helps them to figure out how a dinosaur skeleton is put together correctly, how the muscles are attached, and what are their skin is like based on clues left behind by the fossil.
Page 10: Showing two pictures of 2 pachyderms (one an elephant, the other a creationists' crude conception of a trunkless mammoth) in a diagram similar to the diagrams found in Paul Taylor's The Great Dinosaur Mystery and the Bible on page 15 is the best example of creationists dehumanizing scientists and accusing them of making everything up while ignoring the real work scientist do in reconstructing and restoring an animal based on fossil evidence, which are made of of not just bones, but footprints, skin, feather, and organ imprints, eggs, and dung, and comparing them with plants and animals which are closely related to them.
Page 11 demonizes God.
"God never makes mistakes, and He is always right on just about everything."
So why are you making it as if He is making mistakes and is wrong in completely everything concerning dinosaurs and prehistory? Saying that God never makes mistakes and is never wrong and always tell the truth in everything concerning what the Snellenburgers teach in the face of irrefutable evidence completely against young earth creation is an act of blaspheming God and testing His honesty and integrity.
Scientists admit they could be wrong in everything of what they thought about what dinosaurs might have looked like when they were alive millions of years ago and are willing to correct them when the mistakes are pointed out. This is the way they seek the truth and learn as much about dinosaurs as they possibly can. No one has ever saw a dinosaur alive. We only have their fossil remains to study and come up with suggestions, explanations, and theories based on what's we have available concerning physical evidence. It's just like trying to solve a murder mystery no one has ever seen, but it did happened thanks to physical and forensic evidence that was uncovered in the area where the murder took place.
Creationists on the other hand engage in nothing but ignorance, lies, half-truths, blasphemy, and malice. When someone comes to confront them on what they teach, which is really filled with one imaginable mistakes after another unlike real science based on physical evidence, they whine about it like bratty babies, defend their lies, and make all sorts of slanderous rants and accusations that has "hypocrisy" written all over it. Someone who tries to confront the creationists with the truth is exactly like throwing pearls to the swine, something Jesus told us not to in Matthew 7:6.
We may never know everything about dinosaurs including what color the dinosaurs were and what sounds the dinosaurs made. But we do know is that scientists <em>are not making this up</em> when they say dinosaurs and humans never co-existed. Scientists have found completely no trace of evidence of humans and dinosaurs together in the fossil record, not even in the same layers. Even creationists, especially Ham and his cronies, know and admit to this. But this doesn't stop them from having a false sense of faith and hope and have pipe dreams that someday, somehow, irrefutable evidence supporting the notion of dinosaurs and humans together will be discovered just like the coelacanth discovery in the 1930s'. While the whole world raves about the discovery of the supposed extinct fish, the locals have been living, catching, and eating coelacanth for ages. In their eyes, if a live coelacanth or a group of crocodiles can be found living peacefully alongside humans, then what's to stop them from believing that living non-avian dinosaurs can be found living alongside humans even in modern times? Simple: No physical evidence. There's a 100% chance that such a scenario will not be found ever. Such scenarios are just figments of a person's imagination first brought up by Julius Vernes, the author of Journey to the Center of the Earth and followed by others like Sir Author Conan Doyle, James Gurney, Michael Crichton, and others.
