Another article from Ken Ham's Idiot site is made entitled, For the Birds? where outright denial is all what the article screams out when it comes to a creationists' response to a discovery of several fossil remains of Early Cretaceous birds know as Gansus. Gansus, named after Gansu Provence in western China where their fossils were found, is not just one bird, but a genus of aquatic birds that lived 110 million years ago during the Albian Stage in the Cretaceous Period and are believed to be the direct ancestors of modern birds.
This tiny article simply claims that although scientists agree that the bird is fully formed, they still claim its a transitional form because the fossil was
..discovered in the fossil record that fits with the dates evolutionists have set aside for the evolution of the birds.
Wrong! Their anatomical structures seem to be similar to modern birds except for their lack hollow bones and the maintaining of clawed wingtips which hinders their ability to fly.
This article simply accuses scientists of denial of birds having always been birds that were created on Day 5 of creation week when they claimed that what they found was the missing link.
This accusation is entirely false and hypocritical. The purest example of creationist hypocrisy and denial. If birds have always been birds, then they are cloning machines that have lost their ability to change over time. This means when the environment changes, the clones would not be able to adapt into the surroundings and would just die out. The article also ignores the fact that Gansus is a group, a genus of aquatic birds. It's not just one individual bird but a whole group of birds that are intermediates between primitive birds like Archaeopteryx and modern birds.
Just because something is 100% fully formed doesn't mean it can't change. Even fully formed animals can change and develop over a period of time.
