Well what do you know? Philip O'Donnell here is trying to do a critique of an article made for John Steer's No Answers in Genesis site entitled “Answers” in Genesis' Inconsistencies in Endorsing Myths by Kevin R. Henke, Ph.D. You can bet he's doing a poor job at it, though. Much of his rebuttals are made up of blatant stupidities all made in an attempt to defend his position on alleged sightings of living dinosaurs in which O'Donnell claims to be real despite finding no valid physical evidence for them.
The first part he tried to critique is the first paragraph that tells about the fabled fisherman's tale of a plesiosaur body being fished up from the water by Japenese fishermen in 1977. He just simply claims the notion of plesiosaur being extinct for millions of years is simply “an opinion” and that there are plesiosaurs out there that might still be living. In his dreams!
The next attempt critique he did is on the second paragraph that tells about old manuscripts being not at all reliable evidence. O'Donnell's response is,
“But when you get similar evidences across the globe, then there is a possibility they might be true!”
It makes no difference. Even if there are similar claims made across the globe, there are no possibilities of them being true since no physical evidence for them has ever been found.
Although O'Donnell did acknowledge some of them to be elaborate hoaxes and misinterpretations according to the second paragraph, he still claims,
He obviously does no research. Like all creationists, he simply fabricated the stories and claimed them to be of dinosaur origin while maintaining blatant ignorance of total lack of traces of dinosaur remains and humans remains in and around each other.
In response to the third paragraph, he still maintains his claims that dinosaurs pose no problems for theology (It does for creationists like O'Donnell, though.) and there are some still living which is true. Everyday we see them in the air, on our dinner plates, in cages in pet stores, on a farm, in a zoo, and everywhere else in the world. No need to find them because they are everywhere around us – as birds.
However, despite O'Donnell's claims in his second response to the third paragraph, dinosaurs do pose a major problem for creationists like O'Donnell, who only work their way around it by either denying their existence or make up lies about them, which most creationists like O'Donnell do.
The response to the fourth paragraph is a false accusation. Here, O'Donnell claims that Henke has no evidence to backup what he's saying about dragon stories being “..more imagination, misinterpretation, rumor and exaggeration than fact.” while being in complete denial of evidence of his own to back up his idiotic claims about alleged sightings of living dinosaurs of non-avian types worldwide.
In the response to the final paragraph, O'Donnell claims,
“The reason why most Young Earth Creationists don’t endorse the Big Foot legends is not because it is a relic of the ancestors of human evolution. It is because there is no reason for YEC researchers to study giant apes that may not even exist. I however think there is a possibility that Big Foot might be real.”
Isn't that something? They won't endorse Big Foot Legends because there's no reason for YEC researchers to study giant apes that may not even exist and yet they turn around and endorse dragon legends and study reptilian monsters that may not even exist. Such pathetic irony.
Both Big Foot and Dragon Legends carry no valid evidence whatsoever. But, that doesn't stop some people like O'Donnell from believing in them.
O'Donnell obviously didn't do a good job trying to refute what Henke has wrote in the article. Neither did he do a good job at refuting John Steer's inclusion of his idiot site in Steer's Wacky Websites page. The last segment of the article is all about O'Donnell's criticizing Steer over the inclusion of his site in The Wacky Websites page which starts out,
"On John Stear’s website he has a section called “Wacky Web Sites” where he has listed www.livingdinos.com as an 'atrocious' site.”
Rightfully so!
"As usual Mr. Stear attacks Thomas Heinze’s article not with scientific facts, but attacks his credentials."
That's because his credentials are just as bad as O'Donnell's and Jailbird Hovind, his mentor.
"And he also includes an article about the Big Bang that has been removed from my site and is going to be updated.”
He's lying. When I click at the link to his Big Bang page, I found the page still there, including all of its extreme stupidity within.
O'Donnell then quotes Steer and adds,
"Then why are all the living dinosaur skeptics, Evolutionists? Not one has been a creationist (to my knowledge)."
Old earth and progressive creationists and evolutionists are among those skeptical of the alleged living dinosaur claims put on by creationists like O'Donnell. Something O'Donnell himself would rather ignore. Here's an example of a Creationist's stupidity.
"And how can the evolutionists explain the existence of dinosaurs for over 64 million years without finding one of their fossils (“recent” rock layers). Trying to evade the question they point to dinosaurs that might still live in Africa (Likouala), such as Mokele-mbembe, where there are no fossils."
No evolutionist attempts to make this kind of absurd explanation despite O'Donnell's stupid claims. They know there are no fossils found above the Mesozoic strata except birds. So, it would be no good in explaining the existence of dinosaurs for over 64 million years unless one only talks about birds.
"However, from the Evolutionist point of view, Africa has had a lot of change since Cretaceous!"
Here he's making it as if everything stays the same throughout the dinosaur age while ignoring scores of evidence of Africa's ever changing face since it broke up from the super continent, Pangaea, 180 million years ago.
"And if the enviroment changes, so does the animal (From the Evolutionists viewpoint). So what if a dinosaur was found in Africa, mostly unchanged?"
Note the misspelling of the word 'environment' in the statement above. That depends if that dinosaur found in the region stays in the environment that goes through little or no change at all. If the environment does not change, then neither will the animal.
"Of course they couldn’t accept that they may in fact be completely wrong about the history of dinosaurs. So they just try to “explain it away” like they did with the Coelacanth, which they said went extinct 70 million years ago."
Stupidity, ignorance, idiocy, and most of all, hypocrisy knows no bounds. Like all creationists, he shifts the blame on the evolutionists for every mistake and yet turned around and do the exact same thing. Like the alleged “evolutionists,” creationists could not accept that they may in fact be completely wrong about the history of dinosaurs. So, like the supposed evolutionists, creationists just try to explain away like they did with Mokele-mbembe, Behemoth, Leviathan, and other creatures of myth.
He apparently never got it in his head that evolutionists in fact explains NONE of what O'Donnell claims. If there ever was such a dinosaur living in Africa, then it would be a species much different than all the other extinct species known. But no valid evidence has ever been found to prove the creature's existence. In fact it may not be a dinosaur at all; all entirely of African folklore, this creature is either another animal or a creature of myth made up for either financial gain or to scare people away from areas they don't want others to get into. See this article which tells about this alleged creature from Africa.
Lastly, O'Donnell mentions,
“However, a few evolutionists have realized this problem such as Dr. Phillip Kitcher, who wrote that solid evidence that dinosaurs and man co-existed would “shake the foundations of the Evolutionary theory. Another evolutionist (Arthur N. Strahler) also said about the possibility of dinosaurs and man living together, 'Such a find would deal a crushing blow to the widely favored hypothesis of a unique evolutionary sequence.'”
It won't. O'Donnell and the likes of him have deliberately misquoted Dr. Philip Kitcher and Arthur N. Strahler on purpose. What the 2 scientists said actually is not what creationists like O'Donnell would like their followers to hear. So, they misquote them on purpose to hide the truth from their flock in hopes that they'll never know what the 2 scientists actually said in reality. Besides, both scientists know beyond doubt that there's no evidence that dinosaurs and humans once lived together and that what creationists present is all nothing but hoaxes, fabrications, and misidentifying mythical animals and modern animal conceptions due to their alleged dinosaur shape.
If we did found evidence of dinosaurs and man living together, they will not, even once, "shake up the evolutionary theory and sequence" and "deal a crushing blow to the widely favored hypothesis of a unique evolutionary sequence." Rather, the discovery will give us evidence of dinosaurs evolving into forms that will not only allow them to adapt and adjust to living alongside humans, but can also be easily handled by man as well.
And guess what? It has already happened and have done totally nothing to "shake up the evolutionary theory and sequence" and "deal a crushing blow to the widely favored hypothesis of a unique evolutionary sequence." There are more and more valid, physical evidence being constantly discovered in recent years, especially in China, which tells us that birds, which evolved from dinosaurs like Velociraptor and Sinosauropteryx, and Iberomesornis, are the only group of dinosaurs to have survived into modern times and has always have and always will be the only dinosaurs to ever live alongside of humans, who can handle them much better than handling the likes of T.rex.
