One of the plaques shown in Ken Ham's stupid crackhouse (creation "museum") contains this image which is part of a diagram that claims the once one big huge super continent called Rodinia (Russian word for "homeland") rapidly split apart, thanks to the alleged one year Flood of Noah, and form into the 7 continents we see today…or so the creationists tell us.
Rodinia did exist at one time. It was a massive continent that formed 1.3 billion years ago and began to split apart around 800 million years ago to form into Pangaea about 400 million years later. The idea of Rodinia rapidly splitting apart by Noah's Flood into continents we see today within one short year is an imaginary concept Ham and his cronies made up for their crackhouse to explain how the billions of fossils are laid down all over the earth (in their eyes), how continents form (in their eyes), and to twist and distort Genesis 8:5 to mean exactly what they themselves wanted it to mean. To them, the verse in the Bible means the continents, plagued by powerful earthquakes, were rapidly splitting apart, forming mountains and canyons as they rise up from the waters like a submarine, never mind the insurmountable problems that are associated with this speedy claim, never mind Plate Tectonics and its huge load of valid evidence supporting the fact that the 7 continents gradually formed over a period of millions of years and is still moving today very slowly to about an inch per year thanks to the powerful force of the Earth's magnetic field, never mind that the verse actually means the waters were just going down to reveal the mountaintops like bathwater going down the drain to reveal a bar of soap lying on the bottom of the bathtub, and never mind the problems associated with the claims about how the canyons and mountains form.
Instead, go la la la la la, be ignorant, and pretend that Rodinia was once crowded with countless billions of life forms, including humans and dinosaurs, that so overcrowded the whole land big time that they were never given any space at all, diseases' running rampart, cities, farmland, villages (that never in fact existed) dotting much of the areas of the world struggles in vain to drive out dinosaurs, human enemies, and other animals that are destroying their crops by overgrazing, wars and bloodshed rages over land and space, animals fight to compete for food and space, all prompting God to flood the whole world, causing "land lubbers" everywhere to race up the mountains (never mind the problems associating with them) as the waters and mud rise up to "bury" them on the spot while leaving no traces of pre-flood evidence anywhere in the Rodinia strata. No footprints made by extinct and modern animals and humans together, no pre-flood human and animal remains of all types, no remnants of pre-flood cities, villages, and farmland, no pre-flood remnants of harps, flutes, spears, knives, books, scrolls, clothes, and all other human made objects, no pre-flood graves and tombs of families along with their pets, including dinosaurs, and no remnants of pre-flood vegetation. Creationists may claim that God destroyed everything without a trace because of its wicked state to explain why there are no traces of any evidence of the pre-flood world in the strata but it doesn't explain why didn't God destroy the animals along with humans if what creationists claim about animals being just as violent as humans as told in Genesis 6:7. Everything would have been destroyed completely in the exact same way God would destroy the pre-flood world. The truth of the matter is that there has never been a single trace of the pre-flood scenario in and around all rock strata, especially the Rodinia strata, to begin with.
What's really found in the Rodinia strata is not traces of cities, villages, artifacts, tomb and graves, plants, animals and people, etc., but scores of ice, snow, and glaciers covering much of the world. So much for global warming 900 million years ago. What Rodinia is filled with in most cases is ice and snow. The first in a line of Ice Ages to have occurred on earth took place in Rodinia while all types of microorganisms populate the sea.
