Stupid. That's one word that describes this latest in Answers in Genesis' Ken Ham's dumb idiot book series targeting children called Dinosaurs for Kids. Dinosaurs for Kids: one of the most Google searched terms around. Google the phrase and you'll get a whopping 8,900,000 results. The perfect phrase for Ham to tactically use for the title to his latest in dino idiocy which is about the same as the any dino idiocy he and others like him wrote. Nothing's changed here except for the illustrations- all bigotry, lies, hypocrisy, Bible distortions, and fabrications of both mythology and physical evidence piled together and flattened down to about 64 pages worth of disgusting slop written in a way an adult talks to a 5 year old in Kindergarten to the point where a gullible child can easily lap it all up like a dog.
All creationist literature about dinosaurs is nothing more than one big science fiction made up of the following: Allegedly, according to the Book of Genesis in the Bible, they were all created to live alongside man and eat only plants and fruits until Adam and Eve sinned, leading the dinosaurs to become vicious and eat each other as depicted in science fiction and pop culture. Then the Flood came and drown the dinosaurs except for few handful of young baby representatives that were taken into the ark, leave the ark, and die awhile later due to “Post-Flood” conditions, forgotten, yet sighted alive as “dragons”, until their remains became discovered by man thousands of years later who use them to “lie” about the world being billions of years rather than 6,000 years old and that dinosaurs never lived with humans and everything just evolved. Then came the proselytizing which occurs at the very end of their fairy tale, filled with rants, Bible distortions, hate, condemnations, false scenarios of what will happen if everyone rejects the Bible, and invitations to ask Jesus into your heart and convert to Christianity. Every form of Creationist literature have such a format, and Dinosaurs for Kids is no exception.
Ham's knowledge of dinosaurs is terrible. Even the dinosaurs are illustrated wrong with many derived from pop culture and paraphernalia such as Walking with Dinosaurs, Jurassic Park, and dinosaur books made by DK Publishing. Theropods are shown without feathers, claimed to be only vegetarians before the Fall of man, and displaying forelimbs wrongly drawn to be slappers not clappers. As I go through this book, I'll make sure to note the flaws found on each dinosaur illustrated in this book out of ignorance of the fossil evidence based on careful studies of their bone structure.
All creationists writings are very hard to read. Even I, a lot of times, find myself getting stress headaches reading this garbage cesspool of denial, lies, hatred, condemnations, bigotry, slander, ignorance, abuse, the whole nine yards. I remember the time I borrowed a creationist book from a neighbor called Unlocking the Mysteries of Creation, a book where in every page huge words and statements all capitalized and sometimes in bold screamed out in front of my face as if this book is all nothing but rantings of the creationist who authored this book. No truths, no valid evidence, just loud screaming rants, fabrications and distortions of evidences, hoaxes, myths, including those already debunked, outright slander, propaganda, the whole nine yards. This book in lots of ways is no different. Like on page 3 for instance, where the word “fiction” is all capitalized to rant out that “we live in the [alleged] age of fiction – millions of years, evolution – .. ” Try “we live in the age of FACTS – scientific evidence confirming the world to be billions of years old and everything changed (or evolved) over a period of time.” But of course you'd rather live in your own age of fiction and get little kids to become just like you, force feeding slop down the throats of others whether they like it or not.
Page 3 contains the so-called “7 F's of Dinosaur History” a bunch of F-words (formed, fearless, fallen, flood, faded, found, fiction) representing what Ham wants us to believe about dinosaurs based on only one thing – the Bible, a book which speaks nothing of what creationists claim about evolution, science, dinosaurs (other than birds), and above all the age of the earth. There's no evidence for a 6,000 year old earth where dinosaurs lived with man at one time. Everything Ham claims in Dinosaurs for Kids is not to be believed. Nor it is to be accepted as truth. What evidence creationists put down in all their literature all made up – fabrications of evidence and mythology, ancient text and folklore, blatant lies, hoaxes, hatred, rants, slander, and condemnations of hell to anyone who rejects their idiocy.
I think I know where he got that concept from – here! He must have invented the idea of such a concept the moment he saw my 7 F's article exposing how creationists invented their so-called biblical history from the ground up. If so, then blame it all on me for unwittingly provide Ham with all the fodder he needs to get his stupid lies more convincing to the gullible than ever before.
How about I counter this by presenting to you dear readers with The 7 E's of Dinosaur Reality
Evolved – Dinosaurs evolved from archosaurian ancestors. This is confirmed clearly through the fossil record that also reveals to us that humans were never around when dinosaurs were alive millions of years ago. The first humans appear 60 million years after all the non-avian dinosaurs have died out.
Expand – First appearing in the Early Triassic Period around 230 million years ago, dinosaurs eventually expand over time to cover every part of the globe.
Elevated – They elevated themselves into dominate life forms, ruling all over the world for over 160 million years on every continent on earth.
Exploded – Then, 65 million years ago, a huge meteor exploded when it crashed into what is now the Gulf of Mexico, creating a worldwide disaster that affected 70% of all life on earth, including dinosaurs.
Extinction – Dinosaurs faced extinction due to the affects of the meteor that formed what is now called the Chicxulub crater, leaving behind a large legacy of fossils, footprints, and eggs to tell us their story.
Exception – All dinosaurs died out with one exception – birds. They are the only group of dinosaurs that have survived the extinction event.
Enthrall – Today humans everywhere continuously enthrall them. Millions of people everywhere year after year visit the natural history museums to gape and marvel at the spectacular dinosaur exhibits without end.
Page 5: The lie of “there were not hundreds of types of dinosaurs” right in front of your face – all made up to explain how did Noah put every 900+ species of creature, living and extinct, into the ark without bursting it apart. Note the two sauropod dinosaurs on the page that's now known to be invalid taxon. Ultrasaurus is now known to be the same as Supersaurus, a diplodocid, and Seismosaurus is now known to be a large species of Diplodocus called Diplodocus Hallorum.
Page 6-7: All about “everybody's favorite dinosaur.” No feathers on the babies and bunny hands are prevalent here. Tyrannosaurus Rex is the most famous of all dinosaurs that lived 65 million years ago at the very end of the dinosaur age. Ham claims this is his favorite dinosaur because he can use the elongated sharp teeth of T-rex to teach dietary stupid (The fallacy that claims just because an animal has sharp teeth doesn't mean it's a meat eater – No different than claiming that just because an animal has blunt teeth doesn't mean it's a plant eater) which he does on pages 30-31 by worthlessly comparing the teeth of theropods with the teeth of modern animals that are either herbivorous or omnivorous. Never mind the teeth of dinosaurs being unlike any other animal teeth known. Page 7 claims concerning what was T-rex's actual diet and how the tyrant dinosaur have hunted in comparison with what the so-called “secular scientists” think, “However, creation scientists [blatant liars actually] are able to explain the [sic] evidence in a different way using the [fictional] biblical account, as we will soon learn [stupidly].”
Page 8-9: Ham thinks he can answer a lot of questions children ask about dinosaurs because to him dinosaurs are not a mystery at all. The only mystery he solves about dinosaurs is nothing. Telling them to look into the Bible, which tells nothing about dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus, will not solve any mysteries concerning dinosaurs nor bring any understanding of them at all. Ham also thinks he knows “someone” who was there when dinosaurs appeared and eventually disappeared from the earth and wrote a book for us that gives out a detailed account about the history of the universe, when the earth began, and when did all living creatures and the first humans appeared. His “knowledge” of this “someone” the supposedly Creator of all things who had a book written for us – the Bible – is all nothing but make-believe. All made believe out of ignorance of the fact that the Bible tells nothing of what Ham claims about dinosaurs and the age of the Earth. Claiming that God was there when man and dinosaurs lived at the same time thousands of years ago, while both fossil and biblical evidence clearly shows nothing of this, is an act of total lying and blaspheming God and His Word; everything Ham claims is all blasphemous and imaginary.
The Sauroposeidon in the illustration is shown to have toes on its front feet. Never mind that fossil evidence reveals to us that sauropods have mitten-like front feet with no toes except for the single first digit claw. Sauroposeidon is only known for 4 neck vertebrae. Yet, paleontologists were able to estimate the size of this Early Cretaceous brachiosaur to be about 60 feet tall, making it one of the tallest dinosaurs ever. Compsognathus was a turkey size dinosaur that lived during the Jurassic Period in what is now Europe. That was before Sauroposeidon appeared in the Early Cretaceous period in what is now North America. Thus, the two dinosaurs never met in real life. Now look how Ham wrongly claims that Sauroposeidon was considered the largest dinosaur ever to live before the discovery of Argentinosaurus while in fact it's the other way around. The discovery of Argentinosaurus occurred in South America in 1993, one year before the discovery of Sauroposeidon which is in 1994. Back then, people thought the neck vertebrae of Sauroposeidon were large petrified tree trunks before realizing years later that these so-called tree trunks were in fact the biggest sauropod neck vertebrae ever to be found.
The bottom of page 9 is all about lies, denial, and misrepresentations of how paleontologists try to figure out how dinosaurs like Microraptors and Archaeopteryx evolved into birds. The paragraph claims,
Some scientists have found smaller creatures, like Microraptors, which they try to use to prove dinosaurs were the evolutionary ancestors of birds – [sic] real science and the Bible disproves this idea. Archaeopteryx (“ancient wing”) is another example of a creature once thought to prove this link, but that idea has now been proven false [in Ham's eyes].
The so-called real science and the Bible disproving this is never explained how. The definition of real science according to Ham is outright denial, ignorance of the physical evidence supporting the concept of bird evolving from the likes of Microraptor and Archaeopteryx (including feathers, bird-like saurischian hips, and a primitive wishbone), along with fault-finding, quote-mining, and misrepresentation of facts. This is not real science by any means. Real science is all about natural observations, making discoveries in the field as well as in the lab, seeking to satisfying one's curiosity of how things work and how life got here through physical evidence, and so much more. The Bible talks nothing about evolution. It said nothing of how God created everything other than God spoke and it was done. How was it done is never mentioned in scripture.
Page 10-11 describes the attributes of God and how He is claimed to know everything and has always been there from the beginning and alleged to be the only witness to the entire history of the world and had men write down exactly what He wanted us to know. If so then explain how come no physical evidence is found that confirms what is said in the Bible to be true according to what Ham claims? Even an eyewitness can be unreliable and untrustworthy if he or she have not presented any single evidence confirming what they claimed to have saw is real whether these accounts are in words or in paper form.
Like all forms of creationist literature, Dinosaurs for Kids deceptively pose those who foolishly preach about a false concept that the earth is thousands of years ago because the Bible is alleged to said so as “scientists” while hiding the fact that these “scientists” are nothing more than a bunch of dumb lying idiots who make things up and say it's all true because the Bible is alleged to say so while the Bible in fact tells nothing of what creationists claim about it.
