Original Sin
Pages 17 and 18, reveals an emotional plea from Ham who claims that both animal and people death are the result of Adam's sin, and that dinosaurs fossils (let alone other fossils) were not millions of years old because death, disease, and suffering only came after Adam has sinned. That's no reason to reject the notion of the fossils being millions of years old. What Ham states is a direct distortion of the verses in the Bible that deals with only human death, not animal death and ignores the fact that there were death, disease, and suffering occurring before the Fall. If there was no decay and disease before the Fall, then why did God gave everyone white Blood cells, oranges, and other methods to fight off diseases that were not existent at the time without resorting to the "god-doneit-cuz-he-knew-they'll-have-it-in-the-post-fallen-world-thus-setting-them-up-for-the-fall-themselves" tripe? How did the animals and humans digest plants that suffer and die under the devouring jaws of all the sickly sweet animals and people in the Garden? More on this in a minute.
The only way for man and animals to never die is eat from the Tree of Life which they never did. If there was no death occurring before the Fall, then putting the Tree of Life in the garden would have never been necessary.
Sin and rebellion actually came to the world when Satan rebelled against God. After a long hard fight for the throne, Satan and his fallen angels was kicked out of Heaven. The prophet Isaiah spoke of this in Isaiah 14:12-15 when he referred Satan as the "Morning Star." When God told Adam that he will die if he eats the forbidden fruit, it implies that Adam must have seen death occurring among the animals to get the idea of what death is like.
If young earth is true, then there's no need for God to plant The Tree of Life in the garden. When plants are eaten and digested, they die and go through the process a form of decay throughout the person and animal's body and leave them as excrement which serves as fertilizer for the plants. If young earth is true, the food put into their mouths will fill the body up until it bursts and/or leave the body the same way it enters the mouth like a car going through a tunnel, giving plant life no chances of getting anything to eat at all and would all starve to death. Hair is really dead cells. If young earth is true, then Adam and all animals with fur would all have been bald. Thus, Ham's claim about one cannot accept both the Bible and evolution because it contradicts the notion of bloodshed and violence occurring after the Fall is completely flawed. What he claims clearly implies that God is evil, wasteful, and merciless (the very same implications Ham hypocritically made regarding what the teachings of progressive creationism and theistic evolution portray God as), not allowing death and carnivory, especially when he actually gave them everything of what it takes to do the killing and eat meat. And if disease and pain is also evil, then why did God created the germs that causes diseases and good germs to defend us from the bad germs that cause disease and to create pain that actually serves as a method of defense, even against touching a burning hot iron? If death, decay, suffering, pain, and disease and carnivory is evil, then so is God.
A blasphemous thought don't you think? Science clearly shows us that both of these things are a necessary part of life to stabilize ecosystems and to benefit all life on earth. There is a detailed article made that deals with this issue you can see right here.
"What did dinosaurs really look like?"
The rest of page 18 addresses the question, "What did dinosaurs really look like?" A jackpot question. No one knows what did dinosaurs really look like when they were alive millions of years ago. Even scientists are asking the same question everybody else is asking. YECs like Ham don't know either, yet they resort to stupid lies, saying that when scientists dig up dinosaur bones, they only dig up just bones with no flesh found still intact.
That's a blatant lie. Enter Dakota and Leonardo and the fossils of dinosaurs with a coat of feathers all over their bodies, Scipionyx, the dinosaur with liver and other internal organ impressions. They all have impressions of soft tissues imprints of skin and feathers found still intact both inside and out. With these and other fossil clues (Even a single bone tells the scientist a whole lot about the animal.), scientists can make up a picture of dinosaurs based on those remains as well as, (despite what Ham asserts) compare fragmentary fossils with complete fossils to figure out what dinosaur group the fossil is related to, which is far, much more than 40% than what Ham assumes in the book.

Scientific Mistakes
Ham then states that scientists make mistakes sometimes and shows an example of this by telling the story of the mistake involving the Apatosaurus (Deceptive Lizard) skeleton that was given a wrong head and was called Brontosaurus (Thunder Lizard) for a long time. It was in 1975 when 2 scientists discovered the flaw and told everybody about it. Immediately scientists went to work correcting the fossil and renaming the dinosaur Apatosaurus because the name was given first before the name Brontosaurus was given. Yes, scientists do make mistakes sometimes.
So do the creationists. But instead of admitting their mistakes and correcting them once the mistake is known, Ham and his cronies hide them and repeat the same mistake over and over again; creationists take great delight in finding fault with evolutionary scientists, but whine like little children when scientists turn the tables on them and expose their own errors and faults wide open.
"Where did Dinosaurs Come From?"
Page 19 is a doosy. The question is asked, "Where do dinosaurs come from and when did they live?" The answer: Dinosaurs developed from basal Archosauriforms such as Euparkeria from the early Triassic Period that has fully erect leg posture similar to that of birds and mammals.
Secondly, Dinosaurs lived between 225 million to 65 million years ago in the time period called the Mesozoic era. It is divided up into 3 periods, The Triassic, the Jurassic, and the Cretaceous. Their impressive reign lasted for about 160 million years until their demise that occurred 65 million years ago, leaving behind birds as their descendants as well as huge traces of fossils to tell us their story.
Ham and his cronies, on the other hand, stupidly thinks this is all a lie, claiming that evolutionists cannot defend their interpretation of the evidence, which is a blatant lie. They have made scores of observations of evolution in action, have tested, falsified it, and have multi-scores of evidence supporting it. Everything you see in real dinosaur books is all the result of years and years of hard work, testing of facts and theories based on evidence, intensive study, and research. Everything about science is self correcting, correcting their mistakes once their mistakes are known. On the other hand, creationists' own ideas about dinosaurs are all the work of their own imagination, slander, bigotry, hoaxes, twisted fairy tales, bible distortions, science fiction, lies, falsehoods, and no valid evidence to boot.
Hebrew Word "Yom"
Next, Ham give out the fallacy of the Hebrew word "yom" for "day" to just mean a normal 24 hour day. Despite his ignorance, the word "yom" refers to not just a normal 24 hour day. It can also mean "certain periods of time" as well as a week, a month, a year, a decade, or an eon. It all depends on how it is used. There are in fact many verses in The Bible that clearly show to us that the word "day" do mean a period of time. All too often, creationists insists that God confirmed the notion of the Heavens and the Earth being created in 6th 24-hour days, 6000 years ago when He commanded the Israelites to observe the Sabbath in Exodus 20:8-11. That would be the case IF the other Sabbaths the Israelites are to observe, such as one found Exodus 23:10-11 for example, are completely ignored and denied of its existence.
For a long time, according to traditional Christian views of the Creation Story, each day represents a extensive period of time. Even the Bible confirms God's view of time being different than our own view of time (i.e. Psalms 90:4). YECs, on the other hand, made it to look as if He was in a hurry and spent each 24 hours a day for 6 normal days just to speed up the creation, making mistakes, and wasted certain created things like carnivore teeth and germs that are supposedly made to do one thing. Yet, they were expected by God to do the other. Even speed up evolution of complex animals from the basic ones at the exact rate of Poke'mon evolution. Yet, turned around and have the YECs say to the audience that evolution is all a lie and made up to promote evil, satanic things.
This is what YEC's own view of creation clearly implies to. A wasteful, hurry-up God who hastily has created supposedly everything only to waste them all in one normal week.
6,000 Year Lie
Just like all creationists, Ham claims that the world was created 6,000 years ago (based on Archbishop James Usher's (1581-1656) attempted calculations of the Biblical time line and genealogies.), which is the time of the building of Stonehenge and the Egyptian Predynastic Era. Ham says that this is approximate, obtained by adding up the dates of the Bible that's not in there. Plus if the world was created 6,000 years ago, then that would be at the time of the building of Stonehenge and the Predynastic Era of Egypt. Egypt has a 5,000 year history, Stonehenge has a 5,000-6,000 year old history, and China has a whopping 10,000 year history making it one of the oldest civilizations in the world, so the concept of the earth and universe being 6,000 years old is completely flawed.
Human Dominion
Page 20 says, According to the Bible, God gave man dominion over all animals like a king being given dominion over the entire land and everything in it, just like it is told in Genesis 1:28. No big deal. However, the only dinosaurs man will ever handle will always be birds. Only in science fiction do we see non-avian dinosaurs being handled or tried to be handled by man who only realizes the hard way that such attempts like this are completely suicidal. Ham then compares today's world with Hebrews 2:8, which he took out of context and distorted it, never mind the verse, when put full text (here and here), actually talking about Jesus Himself and how He was made into a normal human being to serve a special purpose for all mankind.
Crank Question
Another question is addressed. A crank one. "Does God tell us when he made Tyrannosaurs Rex? " This is not worth answering because this is only a trick question put on by Ham who claims that T.rex was made on the fictional day six of the young earth creation story. Proof that he's building up ignorance, not thinking, on the Bible to the point of not tell fact from fantasy. Page 21 reveals a Lietha's inaccurate conception of a T.rex with an outdated classification of the Tyrant located right next to it.
About T.rex
Pages 22-25 tells of a crank version of Tyrannosaurus Rex, featuring, in some cases, outdated descriptions of T,rex and many comical falsehoods about him that's worth a billion laughs. Creationists reasoned falsely that since God in Genesis 1:30 has "commanded" that all animals must eat plants, then T.rex must have been a vegetarian before the Fall as well, eating melons, coconuts, gourds (which are all in fact embryonic plant stems!), and others kinds of vegetarian foods that will actually give the Tyrant a very bad belly ache, make him very sick, and have all of his carnivore teeth, jaws, see forward eyes, and stomach to digest red meat be wasted away and rendered useless.
Also, in the section, there is a twisted story about the Tyrant's discovery where Ham asserts that T.rex was first discovered in 1900. Wrong! The discovery was actually made in 1902, not 1900 and was named Tyrannosaurus Rex by Henry Farfield Osborn 3 years later in 1905. Ham is about 2 years off in the discovery and 5 years off in naming the tyrant dinosaur.
Another T.rex fossil unearthed is the one the YECs claimed to have red blood cells inside of a bone, while in fact there's none. And then there is the story about Sue, the world's most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil ever dug up by man, how she was a subject of a court battle over ownership, and how she was sold to the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago for over 8 million dollars in an auction held in 1997. Just like before, creationists would claim that the injuries that Sue have suffered, after a run in with a rival T.rex, were all the result of Adam's Fall. For too many times, creationists like Ham would use Adam as a scapegoat for all the disease and suffering of animals, since Adam, to them, is the head of all creation, then creation must suffer with Adam because he ate the forbidden fruit and brought The Curse of Sin into the entire universe.
This remark denigrates and demonizes God's character. God is known to condemn the wicked while the innocent goes free. The real guilty ones that were punished with The Curse of Sin are the ones who have deliberately sinned against God and the guilty ones are none other than Adam, Eve, and the snake. T.rex had nothing to do with it.
A LOL Crank Statement
On Page 26, out of direct distortion of Genesis 2:19-20, Ham wants everyone to stupidly believe without proof of any kind that Adam was the first person to discover the dinosaurs just by observing them (and yet kept no records of this) that will eventually became extinct and forgotten (which, to Ham explains why no recollections of seeing and hearing about dinosaurs have been found in all forms of ancient art and literature other than some fabrications and distorted images creationists dredged up in an effort to further their young earth propaganda about dinosaurs and humans living at the same time) just after the alleged Flood only to get “rediscovered” a few thousands of years later starting in 1676 and the discovery of a Megalosaurus thigh bone that was wrongly mistaken as a giant human femur. Now how pathetically stupid this crank can get? Especially when it's all entirely imagined up by this absent-minded kook who uses minced Christian words, statements, and Bible verses to get people into following him and his stupid dogma.
The real discoverers of dinosaurs lived during the early 1800's in Sussex England where Mary Ann Mantell, the wife of Gideon Mantell, one of the world's first paleontologists, first picked up some strange teeth that no one has ever seen before. But the long notion of Mary being the first to find the teeth being paraded in countless dinosaur books is now being challenged. Her husband claims to have found the teeth first, but apparently gave his wife credit for the unusual discovery. Hence the obvious of how the conflicting reports of which spouse found those strange teeth came about. Those strange iguana-like teeth either Mary or Gideon found would later be identified as Iguanodon teeth. Thus, becoming the first of great many discoveries of dinosaur fossils ever made by man. Seriously, how can Adam be the first to discovered the dinosaurs when there is no accounts found that confirms this outside Ham's idiotic slop? And Ham believes that only eyewitness events matters.. :roll:
Evidence That's Not There
Ham, on page 27, brings on more falsehood by claiming there are lots of historical evidence of dinosaurs living with humans which don't exist at all. If it is such a case, then we would find, as I said, fossils of dinosaurs and humans mixed together in the fossil record, but none are found!
Origin of "Dinosaur"
Next we get to the question, "Where did the word "dinosaur" come from? The world 'dinosaur' is invented by Sir Richard Owen in 1842, not 1841. Actually, he coined the word "Dinosauria," which means "Fearfully Great Lizards" on a journal paper he wrote shortly after speaking in a scientific meeting one day to describe 3 fossilized remains of animals that are not like any other, Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, and Hylaeosaurus. Ham thinks that if Owen has known about the rest (in big capitol letters) of the dinosaurs, which he never did, he may have never even coined the word.
How? How was Owen supposed to know all this while dinosaurs were completely unknown at that time? NO one, not even cavemen or bible people or even Adam and Eve has ever seen, heard, and knew a darn thing about dinosaurs. No one has ever saw, knew, or heard them alive, except birds. It's obvious Ham has made it all up out of blind ignorance of the fact that Owen coined the name Dinosauria (which actually means "Fearfully great Lizards") to describe 3 of the first dinosaurs ever discovered by man, Iguanodon, Megalosaurus, and Hylaeosaurus. How was he and all others supposed to know about them when no one has ever seen, heard, or knew anything about them before? The Real Answer: They don't.
