Ok. Here we go to Ancient (sic) Dinosaur Depictions where we see scores of so-called ancient artifacts depicting dinosaurs that are not really what Woetzel wants you to think they are. When Woetzel updated his site, he added a few new pages and thrown in some new claims into an old mixture of claims he has, so I'll have to throw in some rebuttals to all of his newly added claims of my own here and there. All depictions, which are nothing but hoaxes, are made by those who never really saw a live dinosaur at all let alone saw actual dinosaurs in a museum or read a dinosaur book featuring dinosaurs accurately reconstructed and restored based on modern studies of the dinosaurs' bone structure. Other artifacts are not really hoaxes, but artifacts depicting either modern animals or fantastic animals from mythology. In another staunch creationist site I'd rather call, "HOAX Artifacts & Fictional High Technology - No Evidence of Noah's Flood!" These hoaxes, which are nothing more than cropped photos and scanned images from new and used books taken and distorted with the usage of photoshop and gimp programs, are shown in false comparison with modern conceptions of dinosaurs, outdated by either a few years or decades, all drawn by those who never saw a living dinosaur other than a bird. These are all presented under a very false pretense that if it looks and shapes like a dinosaur, then it must be a dinosaur people must have saw alive no matter how wrong and inaccurate the models appeared to be.
Woetzel, Bill Cooper, Paul Taylor, the creationists of s8int.com, and all the rest of the young earth creationists are only pretending to present evidence for dinosaurs living with humans a few thousands let alone hundreds of years ago when all they present consist of only fakes, frauds, hoaxes, forgeries, fabrications, and distortions of ancient art, legends and folklore. In reality, all three fossil, archaeological, and historical records don’t support such a concept and they know it. Saying these so-called ancient artifacts and folklore are evidence of dinosaurs and their Mesozoic contemporaries living with humans, when every fossil, historical, and archaeological record is completely void of such a concept that only the invention of Hollywood and science fiction writers, is a highest declaration of being intellectually dishonest as well as outright brainlessly stupid and in denial. The same goes double for saying that ancient drawings of dragons and other mythical monsters accurately depict dinosaurs in face of true modern restorations of dinosaurs based on latest studies of their bone structure that clearly reveals to us that dinosaurs and their Mesozoic contemporaries are everything BUT monsters of mythology and folklore.
The first hoax Woetzel presented is photograph depicting an alleged cave drawing depicting a dinosaur fighting a trunkless elephant. The photo was taken by a staunch creationist named Jack Cuozzo who, according to his book Buried Alive, claims to have seen the image at the Bernifal Cave in France, only to get chased out of there by an "evolutionist" who he didn't want anyone to know about the carving lest the truth about dinosaurs living with humans and mammoths becomes exposed— or so Cuozzo claims. In reality, Cuozzo and his family got chased off because they were trespassing on private property and it is likely that the photo actually depicts a dinosaur puppet mingling with a stuff animal toy. I would like to think that Cuozzo have engineered this hoax just by tracing silhouettes of stuff animal toys and put the silhouettes on a certain wall of the cave. Anything to give evolutionists a bad name and make them be what creationists are exactly themselves.
The second hoax claims to depict a Pteranodon carved on a cave wall in Thompson, Utah by "Indians of the Fremont culture [who] are thought to have inhabited the 'Swell' between 700 and 1250 A.D." The carving is said to be "about 7 feet long from wing-tip to wing-tip, [and] is actually painted with a dark-red pigment." The carving is that of a crested water bird flapping its wings. It looks absolutely nothing like a Pteranodon. Especially since Pteranodon has a much longer crest and a shorter neck than the bird in the carving. The bird appears to have waving wings and webbed feet unlike Pteranodon that has no such feet and wings that appear straight. So no, the carving does not depict Pteranodon nor any other pterosaur. The purest example of how looks can be highly deceiving; at times when I look at the alleged photo, I couldn't help myself being fooled to think that the cracks on the wall are just smooth wings and a short tail that make up the alleged Pteranodon drawing while in reality the cracks are nothing but just natural cracks in the cave wall that have no part in the bird drawing. Maybe the deceptive cracks gave the creationists the idea of falsely branding the wavy-winged crested bird as a Pteranodon in order to fool people into believing their lies about dinosaurs and pterosaurs living at the same time as man recently.
The third hoax is full of laughs. This hoax depicts a dinosaur that isn't. Claimed to be a [sic] fire-breathing dinosaur, this so-called "Puff the Magic Dragon" petroglyph is alleged to be located near Middle Mesa at the Wupatki National Park (Monument) near Flagstaff, Arizona, know for its spectacular ruins and incredible petroglyphs that represents the cosmos, the positioning of the sun, the moon, the stars and the planets, and the spiritual realm. No dinosaur ever breathed fire and the drawing is nothing more than a flat-out modern-day hoax that neither resemble a dinosaur in every way, nor the actual petroglyphs created by the Pueblo people a few centuries ago.
Fourth hoax is claimed to have descriptions on it that fit the descriptions of a sauropod dinosaur like Apatosaurus. It doesn't. This is Sirrush, a dragon-like monster from Babylonian Mythology that is described to have a snake-like neck, head, and a forked tongue, cat-like body, forepaws, and tail, bird-like talons on its hind legs, and a crest on its head. Sauropod dinosaurs have none of these features and in no way do they resemble Sirrush whatsoever. It was a cryptozoologist named Bernard Heuvelmans who first propose the idea of the Sirrush being the mythical modern sauropod dinosaur Mokele Mbembe being kept as a pet by King Nebuchadnezzar. But he is mistaken. No sauropod remains has ever been found above the K/T boundary. No physical evidence of living sauropods has ever been found either. In order for these monsters to exist, one has to find eggs, young, a freshly dead body, and a fully-intact body of a dinosaur, but no such thing has ever been found. But that doesn't stop wishful thinkers from believing in and dredging up monster stories for profit and as a publicity stunt. Unlike Sirrush, Sauropod dinosaurs have round elephantine bodies, a long, thick whiplash tail, tree-trunk like legs, much longer (in most cases), thicker necks, small heads, small set of teeth, and semi-circular front feet each with no toes except for a single claw and elephantine hind feet feet with 2 or 3 claws on them. Once thought to be amphibious, these sauropods are now known to be fully terrestrial dinosaurs that shunned the swamps lest their massive weight would helplessly bogged them down. So Sirrush resembles neither a sauropod dinosaur nor any other type of dinosaur.
The Fifth hoax stupidly claims to depict a Corythosaurus, a crested duck-billed dinosaur, claimed to be drawn on many pieces of art made by the Sumatrans, whom Woetzel claims to have hunted the Cretaceous dinosaur, whose remains are in reality found only in North America, especially in Canada. Woetzel even shows a picture depicting a group of hunters hunting down large bird-like animals to help prove his fallacy about the Indonesians hunting down a dinosaur. The claim is hands down false. These birds in the picture are in fact Batak roosters that do not resemble Corythosaurus in any form. Especially since unlike Corythosaurus, these birds in the picture only had 2 limbs and combs on their heads and pointed beaks on their faces while Corythosaurus has only four limbs, duck-like beak, bony crest, and a stiffened tail held horizontally. These are not Corythosaurs Woetzel is claiming in the image, but Batak roosters which is what these people are handling in the picture.
One has to wonder how can Woetzel ever say that these are corythosaurid dinosaurs while the image look more like roosters than hadrosaurs? It's totally mind-boggling to think that these creationists would stoop real low in saying that these depictions of mythical and modern animals are dinosaurs while in fact none of them ever resemble any dinosaur whatsoever. If they don't resemble dinosaurs, then the creationists will make the artifacts resemble dinosaurs one way or another so that the lay people will be fooled into thinking these artifacts and artwork are what creationists think they are and be converted to their idiocy.
