But in the creationists' imaginary world, the answer is in this crappy children's idiot book entitled, What Really Happened to the Dinosaurs? (1988, 1990, Master Books) by John Morris and Ken Ham, two creationists who takes great pride in deluding people into believing in a world that never was. Wrongly, they make up lies and shoehorn them into God's Word and say that this is the one and only Bible "interpretation" that is right and correct to embrace. It's not and they know it. It's just an imaginary dogma creationists made up and elevate to the "Letter of the Law" because they cannot agree with Darwin's views on evolution and the fact that life changed gradually over periods of time.
They most certainly agree with their own version of evolution, though. When they teach that since creation, all life developed into huge varieties of animals and greatly diverse all over the world until Noah took only basic forms aboard the ark, only for them to leave the ark after the flood, developed into huge varieties, and greatly diverse all over again to the point where it's exactly what we see today, they are teaching evolution— their way! Varieties developing from basics since creation and the Flood is "evolutionary teaching" their way!
YE Extremists like Ham and Morris refuse to know the real truth based on physical evidence. They teach that dinosaurs lived with man. Yet, when asked if that's so then how come there are no remains of humans found in and around the dinosaur fossils (let alone remains of extinct and modern animals together.) they only responded with a rhetoric, claiming that although remains of coelacanth and whales are not found together, they're still certain that both of these animals lived together in the sea just as they are certain that dinosaurs and mankind lived together on land even though their remains are not found together. This STILL does NOT explain how come we are not seeing any physical evidence of dinosaurs and humans together in the fossil record, archaeological records, historical records, and all other types of records that dealt with history and how come we have not found evidence of fully intact bodies of dinosaurs anywhere on earth let alone how come we are not finding any evidence of dinosaur remains in ancient human dwellings, spears embedded inside dinosaur bones, skins made of dinosaur skins, tools made up of dinosaur bones, and authentic ancient art depicting humans hunting dinosaurs.
What Really Happened to the Dinosaurs? (WRHD) is part of a DJ and Tracker John series featuring Tracker John, an cartoon explorer and his dinosaur sidekick Dino Jr. or DJ for short. This book, the first of the series, depicts their journey through the fictional "pre-flood" world where dinosaurs and humans once lived together despite physical evidence pointing to the contrary. The first cover features the 2 on top of a Brachiosaurus-like dinosaur drawn after the wrongfully drawn Brachiosaur on the front cover of Paul Taylor's The Great Dinosaur Mystery and the Bible. DJ is peering, from under his hand, at a seaside where in the background on the back cover of the book there are 2 dinosaurs wallowing in the water near a land where mountains peaked high and pterosaurs fly above them. Tracker is climbing on top of the dinosaur's crest to also look at the view while on the background, on the front cover of the book, there are 2 dinosaurs, one a Stegosaurus, the other a sauropod also looking at the direction the 2 explorers are facing. In the middle of the scene, there is a sauropod walking towards the beach to take a swim just like the other 2 of its kind are doing. On the back cover, in the middle, there is a review that says,
"The Adventure Begins! Join Tracker John and his playful dinosaur friend DJ, as they explore the world before Noah's flood This exciting new adventure will take you through the Garden of Eden and Noah's Ark to discover what NEVER REALLY HAPPENED TO GOD'S MAGNIFICENT CREATURES— THE DINOSAURS (My response in capitol letters.)."
Despite what the red text says, this book is educational, entertaining, loving, and enjoyable to no one but all the deluded faithful followers of this horse manure. Passing the 2 characters on page 1, the picturesque scene found on pages 2 and 3, and intro pages 4 and 5, we get to pages 6 and 7, where Tracker and DJ introduced themselves and welcomes the reader to the infamous Institute of Creation Research (ICR) in California (now in Texas) and lies to the reader by saying there are many scientists working in the building and are regarded as creation 'scientists' because they believe what the Bible says in their own eyes. The truth is that creation 'scientists' are NO scientists! They are nothing more than dogmatic preachers who spent years making up lies, finding fault with those who won't conform to their idiocy, distorting the Bible, science, mythology, and dinosaurs to fit their own beliefs and falsely promote them as "Biblically correct" and "Biblical truth." They do no study and research despite its so-called ministry's name.
Pages 8 and 9 shows the 2 explorers following some footprints left behind by a Stegosaurus and claims that in the beginning, God created everything in Genesis 1 of the Bible, including dinosaurs, which the bible says nothing like that, and says that it leads to many questions Tracker is asked by many children including, "How do we know dinosaurs existed? Why did God made them?" and others. These are what the extremists made up to get the needless hype going among the hapless readers following along in the book. To help answer these meaningless questions, Tracker shows the reader some footprints he and DJ is following and says even though dinosaurs may not be alive today, we still are able to learn many things about them…or so he thinks.
Pages 10 and 11 explains what a dinosaur is and how trying to figure out what a dinosaur looks like is like trying to fit a piece of puzzle together. But using the Bible to explain dinosaurs like what Tracker is doing on page 11 is worthless. It explains completely nothing of the subjects of dinosaurs and the extremists know it. It's worthless to use a religious book to try to find out what a dinosaur is like let alone what did the world of the dinosaurs is like. It's not at all what is being claimed on the next 2 pages. Scientists do make mistakes as claimed on page 11 but unlike real scientists, fake scientists simply hide their mistakes and pretend it's not there. One of the mistakes they made and ignore is found on the next 2 pages which clearly depicts the greatest mistake of all.
Blindly, while wrongly regarding the factual notion that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago long before there were any humans a "mistake", YECs shamelessly promote this greatest mistake themselves, which they falsely cloaked as "biblical truth" as claimed on pages 12 and 13. These 2 pages asserts that dinosaurs were created only thousands of years ago on Day 6 on the same day Adam and Eve were created a short while afterwords. To the creationists, this is enough to conclude that dinosaurs did lived alongside of man thousands of years ago, never mind the valid evidence pointing to the contrary.
Children large, small, and at heart must be told.. If there were humans living with dinosaurs at one time (which never happened,), we would have the following evidence:
- Remains of dinosaurs and humans along with other extinct and modern animals all found mixed together in all rock layers of earth.
- Tombs of humans and their favorite dinosaurs buried together.
- Traces of bridals and nose rings (a concept YECs brought up simply by taking the last verse of the Behemoth passage in Job 40 literally.) attached to the skulls of dinosaurs, saddles, barns big enough to house them, huge wagons, tools to tame and control them, barns and storage for their feed; stuff for treating dinosaurs like a horse.
- Authentic, in-context, accurate artifacts, accounts, and ancient art depicting dinosaurs (just like what is seen in James Gurney's fantasy book Dinotopia); none having the letters H-O-A-X written all over them; not twisted, faked, made up for money, nor misidentified objects (i.e. burrows of ancient invertebrates of the Devonian age mistaken as human fingers and pottery), falsely interpreted, made-up, out-of-context, distorted, and not of recent invention and forgery.
- Ancient accounts of dinosaur hunts and evidence of dinosaur remains; skeletal remains with a spearhead impaled in it and injuries involving a spear, skins and bones made into fine jewelry and clothes and large weapons made to take down a dinosaur all found in ancient ruins of human dwellings.
But none are found!!! Despite what YECs claim, using the Bible as evidence of dinosaurs living with man is no evidence at all.
Pages 14 and 15 claims of Behemoth of Job 40 being a dinosaur despite having no genitals outside their bodies, no chewing teeth, and have inability to live in swamps. The 'tail' in the 'tail like a cedar' passage is euphemism for 'penis,' indicating that the beast is a mammal, not a dinosaur (Mitchell, Stephen, The Book of Job, 1992) despite what Tracker asserts on the 2 pages here. Besides the verse does not refers to the 'tail's' size but rather to its movements.
Pages 16 and 17 claim that when God first created dinosaurs He told them they can eat only plants as told in Genesis 1:30, which is false. Genesis 1:30 is not a commandment but a provision. God gave the animals plants to eat, not commanding them to eat plants. This verse does not bar certain animals like the lion from eating meat. Nor, does the verse bars a tyrannosaur from eating meat as well. When confronted with the fact that some dinosaurs do eat meat and is questioned that if God wants all animals and dinosaurs to eat plants, then why did He gave them sharp teeth and claws to help them kill and eat prey, YEEs just simply tells the enquirer that this must await research in order to find out why. The truth is, YEEs do NO research at all. This is something YECs cannot honestly answer so they dismiss them and say that it will be researched on someday, which they will never do. It is no good for a lion or a T.rex to have sharp teeth and claws, eyes that see forward, and strong legs to run after prey, yet they were to waste them all on plants and fruit. For like all living beings, plants do die.
So, there was death occurring before the Fall despite what is claimed on pages 18 and 19. However, YEEs would rather live in denial of this and claimed that plants are not living things because they don't have 'nephesh' in them. This falsehood, what YECs promote, is nothing but a misuse of an old Hebrew word that has two meanings to it.
The word nephesh according to Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary literally means “a breathing creature.” Even plants breathe although they don’t breath the same way humans and animals breathe. Instead of lungs or gills, plants breathe through stomata, tiny holes underneath the leaves that takes in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen as well as absorb light during the process of photosynthesis which occurs during the daylight hours. They also do the opposite during the process of respiration which occurs both day and night. During respiration, the plant takes in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide. Both process is done through the stomata, the “nose” of the plant. So, you might say that plants were the first nephesh creatures God has ever made before He created 5 more nephesh creatures, fish, birds, wild and tame animals, and man. All organisms are nephesh creatures because they all breathe the air through lungs, gills, or stomata.
The word nephesh also means “a spirit”, too which only humans have in them. Nearly every part of the Bible that has the word nephesh in them refers only to humans– spiritual beings created by God who gave mankind a soul. Creationists asserts that plants are not alive in a sense because they don’t have a spirit or a nephesh in them. Neither do animals have a "nephesh” in them, but do the creationists care? Nope. They rather ignore the fact that throughout the Bible the word nephesh is used to describe only humans, who are the only beings that possess nephesh in them. This is something that was given exclusively to them by God. Neither animals, nor plants have nepheshim (plural) in them. Obviously this is all imagined up to compromise pagan beliefs that says animals have what the webmaster calls “a spirit, consciousness or soul” and to ignore the fact that most Christians believe that only humans have souls in them, not animals and definitely not plants.
Pages 20 and 21 shows the falsehood of dinosaurs being as evil as men while just like all animals, dinosaurs are all morally innocent, having nothing to do with Adam's sin. They do not reason, nor sin like humans do. Humans are the only beings that do reason and have a conscience inside that points out what's right and what's wrong. The reason why God flood the earth is to punish the guilty, not the innocent. Since Mankind was very wicked, God decided to punish man with a great Flood. At God's command, Noah, the only righteous man on earth, builds the ark.
On pages 22 and 23, Tracker makes claims of Noah taking up only 50 different kinds of small young dinosaurs into the ark. This is something YEEs like Ham made up from their heads in an attempt to try to fit all 90 million plus species into the ark, which is never to be done and never has been done.
According to Genesis 6:19, Noah was to take up 2 of every kind of animal 'a male and his mate' aboard along with 7 pairs of animals that will be used as sacrifices, 'a male and his mates' indicating that Noah is to take up into the ark animals that are all sexually mature, grown up animals, not babies. Also, there are much more than 50 different kinds of dinosaurs. In fact, scientists have identified more than 600 different dinosaurs genera and the numbers is still growing! On average, a new species of dinosaur is discovered every 6 weeks. Two of the most recent discoveries made is a very short neck sauropod known as Brachytrachelopan (Brak-ee-trak-ello-pan), a 150 million year old sauropod with the shortest neck in the world for a Long-neck and the most recent, Buitreraptor (Bwee-tree-rap-tor), a small South American dromaeosaurid that lived 90 million years ago. There is no way can they all fit into the ark even if they are small baby size creatures.
Pages 24 and 25 gives out the false answer to the question, "Why do we find fossil dinosaurs?" Ignorant of lack of any evidence to boot, YEEs boldly declared that the fossils were formed by Noah's Flood. While deliberately ignoring the fact that we are finding much less than billions of dead remains laid down by circumstances that have zero to do with Noah's Flood, and that fossils are all formed in quiet conditions due to a drought, old age, disease, and accidents in most cases, while in other cases they are found in conditions that have nothing to do with Noah's Flood such as being killed by predators, washed away in a flash flood or drowned in an attempt to cross a river at a flood stage, buried in sandstorms, mudslides, and volcanic ash.
Tracker starts preaching to the choir while setting the reader up for the Fall. Once the reader in the future realized that he/she has been lied to, then the reader will denounce his/her Christian ways and become atheists. Thus, the YEEs are out to destroy the Christian faith despite their constant blaming of evolution for the things YEEs are guilty of doing themselves.
YECs still has yet to explain how come we are finding teeth of predators mixed in with carcasses of dead dinosaurs indicating that they were eating it while they are supposed to be running for their lives. They never get it in their heads that it never takes a violent flood for the bodies to make like rigor mortis (Contorted and twisted with their necks, backs and tails curled up and their cartridge all shriveled up.). Look into the desert for any dead animal body and you'll see what I mean.
And what about the footprints that would have been eroded away if there ever have been such a violent flood? What about their dung, their eggs, nests, and babies? They would have been completely swept away and destroyed too instead of being buried in either a sandstorm or a volcanic ash. Some hadrosaur fossils were unearthed that contained stomach contents of plants, fruits, and leaves inside, which turns out to be the dinosaur's last meal. YECs claim that the dinosaurs were eating just before or during the flood, hence that's why there are stomach contents found inside of them. And yet, they cannot explain how could Hadrosaurs (let alone carnivores) eat as well as raise eggs and young, relieving themselves, migrating from place to place, and curled up sleeping, like Mei long was when he was smothered in an ash fall 130 million years ago, while they all are supposed to be running for their lives and head for the hills to vainly escape the flood? These are the many questions found here YECs cannot honestly answer.
On page 25, Tracker asks,
"What would you expect to find all over the earth after the Flood waters ripped up tons of soil and rock and drowned all those animals and people?"
I can answer that. A global wasteland! If everyone left the ark at God's command just as YEEs claim on page 26, their attempt to refill the earth will fail miserably despite what YEEs claimed. Mountains would have eroded away, coral reefs would have been destroyed, both freshwater and saltwater life would have been wiped out, soil would have been completely washed away and destroyed so that no plants would ever grow anymore (If there ever was a global flood, then where did the dove get the olive branch from when it came back to the ark, while all plants, including the olive trees, would never grow back due to soil being all washed away and completely wiped out during the Flood? Another question YEEs can't honestly answer.), insects would die off, diseases would have been rampant and wipe out many of those that have survived the flood while others would have starved to death since plant-eaters would find no plants to eat and be easily killed by predators that would have starved afterwords, water would have been highly contaminated and unfit to drink, and finally, the people would see their lives and themselves be wasted away all because their God has totally set them and the animal kingdom up for the fall in an effort to save them from the flood. So, in a way, Tracker is right. This is a very sad picture to see if the global flood did occurred. Thankfully, it never happened.
Page 27 ignores that fact that Mt. Ararat is actually a mountain range, not a single mountain. This is a result of misreading Genesis 8:4 of the passage.
Pages 28 and 29 features a pointless scenario of dinosaurs becoming extinct after the Flood despite God's efforts to keep them alive after the Flood. Many theories have been made up to explain their extinction. But it is unlikely that the so-called "packs of large animals killed the dinosaurs or small ones ate their eggs" theory as proposed by Tracker has ever been among the factor. This is something creationists have made up. Honestly, if God wanted the dinosaurs salvaged and yet they die off after the flood, then what's the point of ever rescuing them from the flood anyway?
The bottom of page 29 shows the myth made up as a direct result of YEEs fabricating dragon tales. It claims falsely that dragons are dinosaurs that men fought and killed as told in dragons tales, while ignoring the fact that there's no dinosaur fossils found mixed with man. They also ignore the fact that dragons (which comes from the Greek word meaning 'serpent' or 'snake.') and dinosaurs are not one and the same due to the dinosaurs lacking snake and/or lizard like bodies, a fiery breath, poisonous bite, strong lust for gold, ability to control weather, etc. They also ignore the fact that the St. George and the dragon tale, despite what YECs claim in their fabricated version of the tale, is actually a Christianize version of the Greek mythological tale of Perseus killing a sea dragon to save Andromeda from its jaws. The dragon in the tale was not a dinosaur, but a winged heraldic dragon, a classic example of what a dragon is like as shown in fantasy books.
Finally, page 30 shows a ridiculous claim by some "scientists" about dinosaurs (sauropod dinosaurs) allegedly surviving in the remote dark jungle areas of Africa while none exists due to lack of physical evidence. Tracker claims that if a live dinosaur is found, he would love to bring it back and put on a show at ICR. In his dreams! The question on the top of the paragraph, "Will we ever see a live dinosaur?" is surprisingly yes, for real. But you don't need to go to a remote jungle in Africa or in South America to find one. There is no need for you to go much farther then your backyard to find a dinosaur; a dinosaur that's cloaked in feathers; chirping, tweeting, fluttering, having brilliant colored plumage, and soaring the sky above. A dinosaur that's also known as a bird.
Nearly all scientists are now convinced that birds are direct descendants of the dinosaurs. Mainly thanks to the amazing discoveries of fossilized remains of dinosaurs that were covered in feathers from top to bottom for insulation purposes. Some of these feathered dinosaurs, however, have feathers that helps them to fly as well as glide in the air from tree to tree. Microraptor is such a dinosaur. It has feathered wings on its arms and legs. They allowed the dinosaur to glide smoothly from tree to tree like a small biplane. Much helpful when it comes to chasing after small prey.
After wrongly answering the question above briefly, Tracker and DJ just says good bye, hoping the see the reader in their next [sic] "Creation Adventures" after telling the reader to read Genesis 1-9 with his/her parents to learn more about the Creation and the Flood story, when there's nothing in it to learn from when it comes to dinosaurs. And that is what never really happened to the dinosaurs.
